Hi everybody,

I was wondering if the majority get some PPF or not.

Is it necessary and if yes, what parts do you add some PPF?

I was going to only do the front parts of the bed where you get a lot of rock chip. It I noticed some scratches on my bumper today…

Thanks

Just about the first thing I did was PPF the front of the rear fenders and then the forward-facing metal on the front. 3M rolls from Amazon.

Depends on what you're using your truck for (off-roading or daily drive).
For me, since I don't typically hit sand dunes or off-road much, I went with the most basic PPF package...the Partial Front Coverage which covers the entire front bumper, hood and mirror caps.

I was told that if you do a lot of off-roading, the Full Front Coverage is recommended since it protects the entire front half of your truck from rocks, branches, etc.

I'm definitely planing to do the front of the bed up higher than the stock PPF. Do folks remove the OEM on the lower area of the front of the bed or just go over it?

Yes, I had my truck in my installers shop the day after I bought it. I always do full front coverage including side mirrors and front lights. It definitely eliminates the rock chips.
