Hi everyone. I put the Peak 1.25" front spacer on my Tacoma. I plan to add the rear 1" too but for now I did just the front. Took it to the dealer to have it aligned because I figured they'd have the specs for the 25 Tacomas (I had read places like Firestone didn't have specs for the 25s), but they told me they likely won't be able to get it into spec with the lift spacer installed.

My question is, has anyone who installed such a small lift have any trouble getting it aligned? And where did you all take it for your alignment? Did they have tge specs for your 4th gen?

Thanks!!

Hogwash. I work at a dealership. I installed the same spacers you did on my 25 and my techs aligned it perfectly without a so much as a peep.

I suspect this to be the case. They're probably just making a preemptive excuse. I mean it's not like I lifted it 3".

They also fed me a line "Toyota highly recommends against lifting the truck because it will screw up all your sensors". LOL

THIS particular lift will not screw up any sensors or require any recalibrations. The dealership DOES have specs they need in order to align it. It should take them less than 45 minutes once it's on the rack.

The tech tried to get it in spec and said he couldn't. Then they told me having the lift voids my warranty, which I know I'd BS. I think this dealership sucks.

This getting to be a really old story about now. People have legit service needs, take their trucks to Toyota dealers and can't get them fixed. I don't know if the dealers just don't GAF anymore or don't have a clue, but in the end too many of them just lie and blow their customers off.

Toyota needs a hot line so we can report lame dealers that do not support their customers. They also need to set some dealer standards or their sales are going to suffer. Right now I think the best answer is calling out the bad dealers on forums like this so we can take our business elsewhere.

They have one.

You can call, or I prefer to write it up myself to control the documentation of the issue/frustration. One of your options is about the dealer and it'll have you pick the dealership. Depending on what you cite, they'll with a case manager, follow up for more details, then do outreach to the dealership if they feel the dealership isn't following expectations.

If course, it takes more than one complaint to fix behaviors, but the avenue is there for notifying corporate.

The Readylift leveling kit came with the proper specs included for alignment.
