What are people's thoughts on the above tires and how they compare? I have Method wheels on order and am deciding between these three tires in 285/70/17. My truck is used year round, mostly (95%+) street driving.

Edit: I live in western Canada. That is why I have narrowed it down to these three tires.

None of them, I recommend Yokohama Geolandar X-AT 255 80 17. Pizza Cutters as the kids call them. I haven't found anywhere yet that they won't take me. Of course, that is when they're aired down properly for the conditions.
Super quiet and nice ride.

I'm not interested in pizza cutter tires.

I recommend standard load 285/70r17 maxxis razr at tires. They are light weight, look good, and cheapish.
Keeping unsprung weight down was my priority though.

I live in western Canada. I've narrowed it down to the three in the title because they get decent snow and ice reviews (for all-terrain tires).

I went with Falken Wildpeak 285/70/17. No issues and really satisfied with how the tires perform off-roading and daily drive.
Went from 25+ mpg stock to now 21mpg.

The Bridgestones are likely the best of those options for winter weather on roads. But I would rather have the KOs offroad on deep power.
But then again, I'm in the Southern US and am just regurgitating stuff I read about online lol

I realize a little late to the thread, but may help someone else

I have KO3’s on both of my trucks, and the Toyo open country 3’s on the wife’s Yukon.

Go to YouTube and search for AT snow comparison…….. BFG KO3 was there choice

we have found great success with both tires for winter driving.
my Tacoma is a daily driver to a ski resort town up the mountain. I really like the BFG ATs

Do you have a lift or leveling kit installed? I want some 285s for my 24 trd sport with a leveling kit but the tire shop said they probably won’t fit without trimming. I’ve read one post saying they SHOULD fit but I’d rather be certain.

Do a quick search on this site
Many have 285 on stock rims and suspension and claim no rubbing

No lift. I gain 1inch of ground clearance.

How do you find them on ice? That's the only thing making me hesitant to go with the BFGs is their reported ice performance.

On ice, I have been impressed….. are they as good as Michelin X-Ice snow tires…. Not sure. We didn’t have a cold snowy/icy winter this year, record low snow fall for the entire Rocky Mountain range

I did drive to Jackson Hole over the Christmas holiday. Storm hit the day before I went, so all roads in Wyoming were snow packed and icy, was very impressed.

also remember the KO2’s were not reviewed as great
The KO3’s big changes that affected winter capabilities, I like them

I have Toyo opens , 295-85-18…..was impressed with the past winter we had, plenty of snow days, they worked nice, i honestly cannot comment on ice performance because if its icy out i stay off roads as much as possible, nothing important for me to be on ice ,for some dingbat to slide into my truck driving their KIA With bald tires, ive heard good things on BFG, however i had the k-2,s. And they sucked in the rain. , didnt like them, perhaps the new ones are better i dont know
