• Clunking during acceleration or deceleration
• Whining or humming noise under load
• Binding or hesitation in 4WD engagement

If you’re experiencing any of these, definitely have your service advisor document it — even if your VIN isn’t flagged yet.

I must have got a bad one, because mine has been great so far. No issues. A little over 17K miles, and so far it's been an awesome truck.

This “Tuber” is so good, he’s standing in front of the wrong model year Tacoma. Loser. I’m sure he’s got lots of “complaints” regarding the 16 to 23 model. Slow, underpowered, dated, awful transmission. But I think the driveshaft is ok.
