The tri fold tonneau does lower the rail. By about 3/4”

I have a 2024 Tacoma TRD Pro with the OEM Tonneau cover and installed the Rough Country "Molle Panel Kit | Bed | Toyota Tacoma 4WD (2024)" on the cab and sides of the bed. The rails remain where they were, but did need to get loosened to mount the panels. There were some tight spots, but not bad. I would recommend it. Much cheaper than many other products and it does look and work well.

So this panel will fit with the relocated rail? Asking since the OEM hard tri fold cover relocates the rail down by a little bit.

My rails and cover were installed by Toyota, so I don't believe anything is relocated with the exception of the rails being about 5/16th" away from the wall because the cover S hooks are using the same mounting bolts as the rails. All looks to me to be the same for the rails with or without the cover as the cover doesn't use the rails except for the S Hooks mounted underneath. It sits just above the rails. I also use my rails for Bed Tie Down Anchors and they don't interfere with the cover since they don't rise above the rails.

I have the OEM Toyota Tonneau cover and I installed these mollie rails with all pre-drilled holes fitting properly. You will need to drill 1 hole on each side as per their instructions towards the rear bottom on the side panels since there is nothing in the area to hold the molle panel rear bottoms. I am still fitting items on my panels, but I already have a hi-lift, recovery boards, RotopaX gas and water canisters. It is very sturdy and is heavy gauge coated steel.

Would you be able to take a pic on the side panels. I wanted to install the bedside panels but I believe it won't fit if the side railing has been moved down, I have an OEM cover.

Oh wow. There might be two versions of this cover. Mine had to be relocated lower in addition to inward.

Here’s the instructions from Toyota That shows the S hook mine uses.

The one in the instructions is the type I have.

I will go out in the garage tomorrow and take a closer look at mine. In either case, the Rough Country Mollie panels did fit, but they do touch the bottom of the bed which is what I was expecting anyway so it didn't make me believe anything was different or wrong.

I installed the OEM tonneau cover and it did lower the side rails.

I have the Rough Country cab side molle panel and it fits fine and clears the tonneau cover (the cab rail doesn't get moved with the tonneau cover). I just had to trim a little bit of the bed mat to clear the lower mounting points.
