Anyone Have a Line on OEM Diff Fluid Right Now?

Looking to do a front and rear diff fluid and transfer fluid change next weekend and everywhere is backordered. Anyone know of a dealership or site that may have in stock?

Are you hesitant to use off the shelf 75w90? I only ask because that's what 95% of dealerships will use if they do it for you. Those Valvoline squeeze bags are really convenient.

Oh wow, really? Makes me feel a little better. My initial plan was to use Amsoil, but I have a mechanic friend who argued that while Amsoil is great and all, you should try and use OEM wherever possible.

Amsoil, love their squeeze bags. Did hook up some hose to the bag for the front diff but they make it easy.

That will be me at about the 10k mark. Gonna do it a little early on the first one. I think Toyota recommends to inspect it at 30. Those Valvoline bags are too convenient and easily available everywhere.

I did mine at 1200, the rear diff had lots of metal shards and fine particulates. The front was pretty nasty also.

I'm not too fussy with diff fluid....as long as it's GL-5.

I do like the Ravenol kits Blauparts sells on-line...used them a couple of times for my 4x4 Tundra. The bottles have long nozzles that pulls out so you can just stick them up in there and squeeze out what you need...no pumping. (In my Tundra, not a whole lot of room for the front so I learned that I could only squeeze out about half of a bottle but the rear use the same so just put those in the rear diff.)

I'll, also, be doing all the diffs and transfer case for a break-in....will do a break-in engine oil change at around 500 miles....probably the diffs/transfer case at the same time.

Let me post the kit for the 4G Taco and see what it's running right now....

Honestly, $227 to do all three isnt nearly as bad as OEM or Amsoil. That sounds like the ticket right there. Thanks for the tip!
