For the ones who got the brake line recall done. Have any of you got notifications on your screen about brake loss power please pull over to safe place? I checked under my hood and my brake fluid looks low since I got recall done. Was driving and brake power loss popped up on my screen Just curious on why else I should look for or what to do? This is dangerous and I’m furious.

When we took our development truck in for the brake line recall, the technician didn't bother to top off our brake fluid reservoir and left it right at the low mark.

Haven't gotten any notifications on it, but it was topped off shortly after we had the truck returned as I caught it while under the hood doing other things.

I checked under my hood when I left the dealership first thing and it was full. Maybe they didn’t bleed out the lines and with me driving back and forth to work the past couple of nights I popped my hood this morning and noticed it’s now at the min mark and driving to work tonight is when I got the notification on my screen and pedal felt like I really had to push it. Made me nervous.

You should be more than nervous. Check for leaking fluid ASAP. Then get it to the dealer.

Good call guys, I didn’t even look under my hood when I had mine done. It has been a month and a half so likely fine but I’ll look at my brake reservoir tomorrow.

To the OP, keep us posted on this.

I’ll check for leaking in the morning. And recheck my fluid. This just sucks. I will call Toyota roadside in the morning since I’m on nights to just come pick me and my truck up from work to get it to the dealership. I’ll keep you guys posted. Just annoyed having to go deal with this after working all night.

UPDATE: checked under truck, sure enough rear passenger side brake line leak. Oil is everywhere. Even in the wheel well, brake fluid is even lower under hood.

I wonder why a lot of us don't trust dealer service? Maybe because for everything they fix they break something else. Get that truck towed to the dealer asap.

Glad you didn't get hurt over this. I've had the "pleasure" of feeling the brake pedal squish all the way to the floor and replacing a brake line by the side of the road.
On the plus side, brake systems have 2 separate circuits, so you still had the front brakes.

Now that I've got 20's I'm going to assume it's a non-issue?
