You could even leave all of the power characteristics OEM, and create a file that only changes shift behavior.
When my warranty is up I'd be interested in a TCM adjustment to get the truck to downshift consistently into first below 10mph.

I just do it manually now with S mode, which is fine but it would be cool if it did it on it's own. Taking off in 2nd feels meh. I don't mind the somewhat jerky downshift to 1st (which I assume is why Toyota doesn't have the truck do it)

This is going to sound super far fetched…

I like how the ZF 8 speed works, engine and wheels feel very connected contrary to Toyota Aisin Transmission, is it possible to make it operate more connected via what I suppose is early converter lock-up?
Bump it into S mode and downshift, you cant build boost without RPMs. Tiny engine big truck lol gotta use the horsepower, unless you're asking for partial throttle at cruising speed.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

@24 TRD OR Got to drive my personal truck today since he only lives about 10 minutes away. His looks like my truck's big brother, with lift, tires, roof rack and many other mods. Some day...

Yes, some day soon I will be getting my truck tuned by CamTuning. He is a pro and a class act all the way. I look forward to working with him. Other than being impressed with what his tune accomplishes from a driving standpoint, my big takeaway was his experience with 4 cylinder turbo tuning. Unparalleled!!!

I also had my truck done by @CAMTuning. Install was a breeze with his help and his work made a huge difference. He did a great job of helping me through the process because it was my first time modifying a vehicle like this. I didn’t think the truck could be better than it was but the difference is night and day. It does feel way smoother as far as the shift points and I can definitely feel more power when I put the pedal down. ECT PWR mode is way more fun now too. Combined with the Sxth Element intake and everything works great.

I was between @CAMTuning + AccessPort or going the OTT route. I have heard amazing things about the OTT stuff and in no way am trying to say ones better than the other, but for me I liked the features of the AccessPort and not having to drive a couple hours away to the nearest OTT tuner. In addition to that the customer support from Cam was awesome and I definitely think it was worth it.

10/10 would recommend

I also run the Cobb accessport with CamTune, ran Cobb on my past subarus as well. I like the ability to monitor and map change if needed. OTT guys have a turbo upgrade available now that could be fun to add on.

Thanks Colton- It was great working with you. The AccessPort makes it so simple to remotely tune. I mounted my AccessPort in the same place as you.

actually, this is how I did it too. I'm glad you mounted it though because last time we talked, you were just going to put it away. I guess you see the benefits of monitoring some of the parameters while you're driving. If you want, I can update the firmware because the newest version shows boost as manifold relative pressure instead of manifold absolute pressure, like the old firmware did.

That would be good. I can do the math, but if I don't need to .... I think I had a few questions about it too.

I'll send you a text later today and walk you through updating the firmware yourself because it's really easy. If you don't want to do it yourself, I'll try to meet up with you soon.

I like where you have yours, probably a little mroe line of site than mine. Mine is kind of hidden as its just below the window. But I also have a little amazon special shelf where yours is mounted for my parking ramp key.

Anyone Take their Camtuned truck to the drag strip/draggy yet? Truck feels peppier than my 5.7 Tundra.

Have to be careful though. One of my customers had theirs stolen just a few days ago.
