Can't tell if my LDA or LKA is working properly or not.

Since I got the truck it seems to me that they are either not working correctly or Toyota has put handcuffs on them. The LDA only seems to beep once I am already in the other lane which is way too late. The LKA only seems to work when the cruise control is on. Hopefully I am explaining my issues correctly but if you need further explanation just let me know. I have messed with all the settings and made sure everything was on with full bars which I'm assuming is full strength.

Just FYI, I've tested both of these when it was safe to do so also I have a Hyundai Palisade which has the same features and it seems like it works so much better in that than on my Tacoma.

Just want to know if it's all in my head or if I need to take it into a dealer to have it looked at or are my expectations too high? I know some people hate the feature and turn them all off but I want to live with it to see if I like it first. It doesn't bother me in the Hyundai.

My truck doesn't let me into the other lane before nudging me back over. My settings are on whatever the default is from factory/dealer. Something seems off with yours.

Yeah, it only works when the cruise is on... but mine beeps as soon as I start departing the lane.

I think it works great.

LKA only works with cruise and a hand on the wheel most of the time.

Does LDA guide you back into your lane? Or does it just beep at you?

LDA just beeps. LKA keeps the truck in its lane, but only works when using radar cruise control.

I have both LDA and LKA active and it works on mine without cruise control active as long as I have the steering wheel icon lit up and the lane keep button on the wheel active. If I didn't flick my turn indicator, it'll flash the lane line yellow, beep, and nudge me back.
