Mine is also lifting at the cab end and has that two sided tape under the bed rail, but it is way too warped for it to hold it down. I thought it was just a punt at the factory or port to try to cover up a bad part. My dealer ordered a new one as soon as they saw it, but it is back ordered to hell and back, so hard to say when they will get it.

My bed rail cap finally came in and I installed it myself. I don't think that double sided tape was ever intended to retain the cap, just to align it in the front. There are many plugs fastening it to the bed but only a few in the front, and mine was too warped to stay in place. The new one fits fine and if your caps do not fit your dealer should order you replacements.

Anyone’s seat trim pop out when you get out of your truck? I weigh only 160lb and the plastic trim piece separates each time and I have to pop it back

All that water literally goes into the same gutter that takes the water to behind the front wheels and to the ground, whether it’s the cowl or cowl gap. It is never a totally sealed off deal on any vehicle—it all goes to the same spot. I think people don’t understand this. Watch any video of someone removing a cowl and you’ll see that under it a big gutter. There is no water that enters the bay or the cab through the gap it just drops to the same exact spot and drains out. Purely aesthetic problem.

I am guessing most things that potentially can trap water is engineered to drain. I remember when they painted our house, the paint company mentioned that they would also caulk the cracks. After the caulking, I noticed that they caulked under the ledger board (attached to the house) on my deck. I informed them that this should never be caulked on the underneath side because any water that would get by from the top part of the deck would surely be trapped by said caulk. They reluctantly had to scrape that off.

I am guessing the same applies to the cowl. While it would be nice if most of the water sheds around it, the water that "escapes" under it would be designed to do as such. Not a major factor and I am sure no harm would be done.

The design is the same, and the only difference is that the replacement is not warped. I do have some pictures of the bottom of the cap and I will post them soon.
