The rear of my truck was feeling a little squirrelly after 1.5-2" lift from my overland springs so I installed King end links and Dr. KDDS Bolt On Trackbar Correction Kit to remedy, which it did, but my 285/70R17 now hits the track bar and subsequently will not fit in the spare location as it did before.
Where are y'all storing your full size spares ? I'm considering a hitch mounted carrier for trips, but reviews are mixed. Don't want to use the bed as it's a living space under my Topo Toppers Badlander.

That would really be a good solution for RV towing when installing the 4G Taco 18GAL aux tank. How much did this cost and where to buy? Presumably it mounts to the rear driver-side tow hook threads in the frame, and it also doesn't block the 2" receiver. Thanks for the post!!
UPDATE: how to mitigate the backup camera and rear proximity sensors on the bumper?

Has anyone used a temporary solution while they're saving up 3 Grand for a bumper ? Like a hitch mounted spare carrier ?

Hmm. I have a LT255/80R17 (almost exactly 33 inches) mounted to the stock spare rim. It does barely rub with the KDDS relo, but I dropped the tire pressure to 20psi and it's fine outside of a squeak when the suspension flexes.

I wonder if the end links rotate the bar further back than just the KDDS alone? That would suck because I was seriously considering adding them.

I'll have to investigate when I get home. I threw the links on a week prior with no issues, but I was in rush to slap the bracket on before I left for a trip and just threw the factory spare back under there because I was in a hurry.
I can say for sure that the combo of the relocation bracket and end links made the rear feel so much better. Not sure which was more effective, but man, no sketchy side to side action on big bumps anymore. I snagged the links for $130 delivered from yota garage which I was nervous about because of their reviews, but they showed up! (Late) And they're beefy.

I put the 275/70 on a stock SR5 rim, so idk. I'll try to lower the pressure and see what happens. Zero rubbing prior to the relocation bracket:

Eventually I'd like a swing out, but will figure something out until I can afford it.

I looked under my truck and the sway bar isn't remotely connected to the panhard bar in any way so I can't see how your links would have any effect at all on the spare tire fitting. I'm not sure what I was thinking.... Good thing though, I can now order the King links w/o worry! ;o)

Sorry, one more question. The King links you purchased were these from Yota Garage, correct? Just seems sketchy as all get out. They're only $85.50 now but I can't get the page to fully load to even add them to the shopping cart.... Scary!

Yea lol felt sketchy. Even the picture looks sketchy. But I figured if they didn't show up then I would dispute the charge with visa. They were $85 + $45 shipping. Still $130 OTD compared to almost $300. They shipped the day they were supposed to arrive, but they did show up. They have some crappy reviews though. Sounds like hit or miss for sure.

Welp, tried to air down and it's a no go for the 285/70 in the spare area.

Two options I am considering after working some deals are:

Wilco hitch mounted swing out tire carrier ($990 delivered). I like the Rig'd swing out but it's almost double the price.

RCI rear bumper + swing out ($2,200 delivered) but this adds 260# to the rear and I'm trying to be pretty conscious of my payload.

You might try Marketplace or Craigslist. I bought a RakAttach swingout but I don't think they make a tire holder for it. The point though is that at the time I was shipping (a couple of months ago) there was a guy in Salem, OR selling a Rig'd tire carrier for cheap. I would have bought it but didn't feel like I needed the carrier.

For anyone else reading: This is ~100% from the track bar relocation. I did the track bar correction first and it solved all of the sway / bump travel.

I didn't go with the kings (though I would have if I saw that price...) but instead the dobinsons adjustable ones. I didn't notice much of a difference with them, but I don't think you really would on road anyway.

And I guess to contribute to the subject at hand... I am running 35x12.5 toyo open countrys with no spare. I've just bought a tire repair kit and glue tread.. Hopefully that should handle anything that comes up. We'll see I guess.

I don't know where you are in the PNW but there's this one for sale in Bellevue. $1,200 but I wouldn't go over $1,000 for it.
