I was planning to get my truck tuned next week. If it is coming soon, should I hold off until the update is pushed to the retailers?
The file may be ready then. I'll likely be able to provide more information on the release date for the update next week. I'll report back when I've talked to the rest of the staff.

Hey Justin,
I’ve got an appointment this Saturday for an OTT tune. Would you recommend holding off until the update is released, or is it fine to go ahead with the tune as planned? Just want to make sure I’m not missing out on anything important. Thanks!

Quick update on the upcoming Stage 1 update for those following along, and specifically in response to @SubTaco question:

After reviewing internally, we’ve decided to hold off on a public release of the updated files until we can finalize testing across all trim and drivetrain variations. While the update is ready for most configurations, we feel it would create unnecessary confusion or frustration if we rolled it out while still having to exclude specific setups. Releasing a complete and inclusive update will ultimately serve the community better.

To clarify: this update brings some refinements and improvements over the initial Stage 1 release—notably enabling full output in 1st gear on the Gas models. However, it’s not a critical or “recall-style” revision. There’s no issue with the current files, and you’re not missing out on anything that would prevent you from enjoying the tune today.

So, no need to delay your appointment. You’ll still get the full Stage 1 experience as originally intended. Once the new files are finalized and released, we’ll make sure everyone has access to them as appropriate. It's a free update for any prior Stage 0/1 client.

We’re sharing this information to keep everyone in the loop with our ongoing development efforts, and we appreciate your patience as we wrap up the final pieces.

Hope this clears things up!

Justin

Got the tune done last Saturday and proceeded to drive up to 5000 ft elevation the following Monday and can promise the tune is worth it.
Such a big difference in pulling power and doesn’t drop off at high rpm’s like the stock tune.

I have no performance based mods and I was always running 89 octane so I decided going forward to bump up to 91 to get the most out of the tune and to me is worth the extra $2-3 per tank for max performance.

If you’re on the fence, just do it.
