Heated steering wheel mod

Greetings! I live in the north and my ‘24 TRD OR did not come with a heated steering wheel.

I tried searching the forum, has anyone undergone a steering wheel transplant? I’m not really interested in heated covers unless they look very clean. I’d like to keep it OEM or upgrade.

Does anyone know any companies making aftermarket heated steering wheels for 4Gs?

I wonder if everything is already built into the steering wheel, but only needs the switch installed to activate. I'm in the same boat with my Taco, where is the steering wheel heater control switch installed?

Usually it’s installed by the AC controls on the dash.

I’m a big fan of heated steering wheels, but I find the one in my Tacoma to be rather underwhelming. It’s better than nothing, but I also think it would be worthless in truly cold conditions.

I looked, and it’s only for model year up to 2023 Tacoma. Not for the 4th gen Tacoma.

Mine came with heated seats but not the heated steering wheel. It seems odd to me that those two aren’t combined.

I wish mine had it, but it doesn’t. Since it is 0° out today, I just let the truck warm up extra long.

I agree. Seems like something that should go together, especially on a 50k rig. My work van, Chrysler Pacifica, has both lol.

Never used mine. Maybe my hands aren't cold sensitive. I've used the heated seats maybe twice, when the temps got down to 10 degrees. The truck's heater gets up to speed fast enough that those other perks aren't important to me. If I could have left them off and saved money, I would have.

Really??? I find mine almost gets to warm and I usually turn it off after about 10 minutes

LOL, no gloves. Obviously opinions are subjective, but I think the seat and steering wheel heating in my previous 2023 frontier Pro-4X (RIP) was superior.

Or maybe at 63 years-old I’ve just become a wimp?

The heated seats are great for long trips. Gets the blood flowing.

I used to use heated seats for when it was cold out, now I just use it for back pain relief
