Alright detailers, how can I remove this ? When I debadged my truck I used some Maguires ultimate compound to get the "SR5/Tacoma" imprint off and now if the sun hits it just right you can see these swirls.
Trying to avoid paying someone to fix it.

in the future when removing badges
u need a hot sunny day
or a hairdrier not a heat gun
warm area till warm to touch
use mono filament fishing line
use that to saw off the badge like u r flossing yer teeth
(Waxed floss will work too)
the 3M adhesive is just a sticky AF gum that peels when warm
u can roll off any leftovers with yer thumb & a blob of it

as 4 swirls i buy light colored trucks
🤠
hope that helpz

No that wasn't it. All of that came off easily. There was left over "shadow" of the badges. Likely wax build up or something.

You’ve had your truck a few years. That shadow could’ve been (probably was) just how it aged differently being covered up (no UV, less oxidation).

It was only a couple months old when I bought it and removed the badges. Fishing line and mild heat got the adhesive and then used the compund to remove the "shadow" that was left but that's all I did. Will try some polish or swirl remover. Never really bothered me but it's been unusally sunny here and it keeps catching my eye.

Gotcha. I was assuming it was a recent debadge since you’re just now asking.

Yea I should've clarifed! I debadged almost immediately. You could see both the "SR5" and "Tacoma" in all weather even with all the adhesive removed. I buffed it out with the compound, but didn't bother fixing this as I rarely noticed it over the winter and into the spring. But I've run out of things to do to my truck, so this oughtta distract me for a minute

I have been doing body and paint work for over 60 years...the paint on these new vehicles is very thin so care must be taken when buffing/polishing. If I were you I would find a good detailer and pay them to do this job...by the time you purchase the tools and chemicals and pay the price of the learning curve, you could have paid a detailer many times over and ended up with a factory finish. Good luck...
