Installed OEM front door edge weather stripping

I am guessing these come standard on the more premium Tacoma trims. My TRD OR without the Premium package did not have them. Hopefully they will reduce some wind noise and keep the door jambs cleaner. Each door runs around $38 and they fit perfectly as expected from an OEM part.

Once you remove the 4 factory plugs in the door the install is easy. I posted the part numbers and included a few before/after pics for anyone else that may be interested.

Yes, corporate cost cutting to increase profits. The upper trims also get dual pane front window glass to reduce noise in the cabin.

I think there is another strip that goes between the front and rear door.

Correct. I'm trying to find the part number for that section. It’s attached with an adhesive strip, no push clips.

I installed yesterday and no rain in the forecast. I mainly purchased the product to keep out dust when Over Landing.

I also plan on installing some bulb gasket weatherstripping around the doors to help mitigate dust and noise.

I don't think I have much road noise in my SR so adding them my not help .... BUT as I live in the north, I'm thinking that these may be very helpful keeping the sand an salt out of the door jams in the Winter... ???
