Has anyone upgraded their JBL sound system? What are the subwoofer options? I tried the beat sonic amplifier but don't like the noise floor, I want something better.

what is the "noise floor"?
I know that Tacoma Beast sells the Orella Acoustics amp thats like $2k. They claim its great. I don't know if its better than or works with the beat sonic.

I also saw that Beat Sonic put out a video for their new product, under the seat amp harness that connects to your factory power seat harness. With that they connected to two JBL slim under the seat amps.

Is the white noise (static) you hear at low volume, is quite annoying.

With Carista you can turn that off. Active Noise Cancelling ANC & Engine Sound Enhancement ESE.

I turned that feature off week 2 of ownership. I never heard it. That's the "noise floor" he's talking about?

Seems like it - which may make sense in his case since the BeatSonic basically increases the signal from the H/U to the speakers.

I never heard mine either but turned it of regardless

What I want to know is if that Orella Acoustiscs Amp is worth $2K. Why is Beat Sonic $300 to 400 and Orella selling an amp for $2k. Is it better? it installs differently, i know that. I want better audio so i'm looking at everything

Two completely different things.

Granted that the Orella isn't worth it's price, but yea they are two separate types of devices.

I’d rip it all out and install all new gear but if you think $2k is too expensive then leave it alone. The interfaces and adapters you’ll need with be almost half that on their own

2k is definitely too expensive for that particular amp. A decent system, yea you're gonna sink more than 2k.

Oh absolutely. I’ve been in 12V for $35+ years. $2k is a drop in the bucket

The noise floor has nothing to do with active noise canceling. Without being too technical, noise floor is the sound or lack of sound your audio system makes when music isn't playing. It's the measurement of unwanted noise that your audio equipment makes inside your vehicle i.e. buzzing noise, hiss, static etc.

The Orella Tacoma amp consists of Pac Audio aftermarket amplifier interface ($419)+ Match up8 DSP ($1,150) by Audiotec Fischer of Germany + PNP harness + DSP audio tune loaded into the amp. You could piece this system together on your own, but DSP tuning isn't for amateurs.

so...its worth the cost? I've seen the TacoTunes kit, Beat Sonic and the Orella amp. I want more bass but I don't want to lose clarity. I've got money (or can save it) which kit offers the better option? Assume that the Orella route comes with just the amp Also assume that the Beat Sonic comes with the amp and 2 power seat apadters powering 2 JBL underseat subs.

If anyone can answer that, i'd appreciate it.
