I wanted to get this option when I was looking to buy my truck.
Hard enough to frikken find a longbed.
Does Toyo make these parts availible to be added on later?
popped off the frame around the center console switch panel and there is a plug parked in back of where that plug would go. Didn’t look under the truck yet to see if it dead ends there.

I know I can purchase some aftermarket quick disconnect links for the swaybar ends but being able to do it from the cab would be sweet.
Anybody got a clue sing out.

I watched that one and a few other videos on the SDM.
Looks like nobody has the same style disconnect operation as the Toyota set up.
I think the swaybar disconnect mech. is a different type and is locked/ unlocked from the middle of the bar electronically and the end links stay hooked up.
The aftermarket kits modify the outer section where the bar connects up by the tire and they have some quick links to lock/ unlock. Kinda like the jeep guys have been doing for years.
7k that can’t be correct. Hell they only up charge you like $1,230 for the option. WHICH I WOULD Have GLADELY PAID if I could have could one but I didn’t want a Trailrunner, TRD Pro, or a 5’ bed. Compromise compromise…

If it costs that much aftermarket just for that part, no switch etc or install why would they offer it up for 5 times less?
Im going to run over to the local Toy dealer and talk to the service manager or parts guy as to what would be involved in getting this feature installed on my rig. I will post up manana what I find out.

Toyota does insane stuff with parts pricing. I don't understand it. The 14" screen part is over $14,400 MSRP. The 8" is $6,600.

A TRD Offroad with the 14" display and sway-bar-disconnect starts at $46,085 sticker. More than half of that price ($24,424.76) is for the sway bar disconnect and screen. Don't hit a rock that damages your sway bar disconnect and knocks your coffee into the infotainment screen...your truck might be totaled.

(And yes, the sum of the parts is always MUCH more than the price of the vehicle....but this is wild.)

Can you not just talk to a salesman and make him/her find your truck for you? I understand it’s probably a rare spec but it’s worth a shot

100%. Long bed with electronic disconnect are out there, you just have to wait. Took about 2 months to get mine delivered.

What year is your Tacoma? Long bed with SDM for my 2024 was challenging but doable. I've looked a few times for 2025 MY with the 500 mile radius search tool on Toyota 's site and got zero results. I even tried different cities across the U.S.

I'm going out on a limb, based only on personal experience. I don't think Toyota is doing Off Road trim long box, SDM combo anymore. Our 2024's are true unicorns. If I am wrong, please let me know.

If it costs that much to add aftermarket, and you want that combo, better off just getting the Trailhunter.

2026 Tacoma Off-road longbed in bronze oxide.
I specifically asked at the 3 different dealers here in SD that I wanted the SDM and they said they didn’t see anywhere where a longbed was availible With that option.
I would of flown in to wherever in the US to get one and drive home.
Only colors I didn’t want was black, red, and the blue.
Water under the bridge I guess.
