Toyota iPhone app keeps logging me out

Can you guys test something? Make sure your background app refresh is set to WiFi and cellular. Then make sure Toyota app has background app refresh turned on. Mine are set with these all turned on but I think what’s logging me out is when my phone goes into low power mode at 30%.

My settings are identical to yours on the iphone, yet I have been getting logged out frequently lately. It's annoying to say the least, because of the two-factor authentication to log back in.

Add me to the list also. Signs me out every hour or so even though I set it to 12. Deleted the app and reinstalled but same thing.

Just downloaded the Lexus app and deleted the Toyota app. Signed in the same way, everything looks and operates the same. The Lexus app is, for some reason, more stable and isn’t logging me out regularly. The digital key is finally setup correctly as well - mine never would with the Yota app. Give it a shot.

It’s very strange that one would work but the other won’t! Guess they focus on the higher paying customers. If it works that’ll be great!

Just did this - and behold - my downloadable digital key finally completed its download! SMH.

Great idea. I’m presuming the auto-logout problem is fixed here too.

Try restarting your app. On an iPhone swipe up or what ever to see what apps are open then find the Toyota app and swipe up on it, give it a few seconds, I normally do around 15 seconds. Then open the app again, sign in and it should stop logging you out. ( I have no clue how to do this on an android)

I did this for the first time ive had the truck (about 40 days) and now face log in works and it keeps me logged in. I do close the app (as described above) now every time I use it, not just let it run in the background. Facial log in has worked every time since I started doing this. This also fixed an issue I had with the electronic tailgate staying locked when I unlocked the truck.

The Lexus app’s security settings are set to sign you out either immediately or in 15 min. Go into the sectors settings and change it to 12 hours. Also make sure Face ID is on.

Dude I love the Lexus App, esp since I’m paying for the sub now. No more fob needed for daily driving. Wasn’t able to even download my digital key on the Toyota app.

I think they’re the same app with just a few graphical differences on the front end. Code is probably the same. Version numbers are both at 2.8.1 (455).
