I just received mine for a planned at home install, and all the mounting brackets are angled back. Of course the installation instructions are worthless and do not mention anything about re-alignment, so curious if anyone else encountered this. The bracket holes all appear straight/90 degree so I'm assuming these will need some sort of correction.

I didn't have to make any adjustments. Take off the 4 bolts under truck , then the boards go on

Do you recall the brackets on your set being angled as well?

I'm not sure they can adjust. If the holes won't line up then there may be a problem. 15 minutes install for each side

Have you tried having someone hold them in place (or loosely bolted them in) to see if they look square?

I honestly can't remember what my brackets looked like, but I just put them on and they lined up fine. You may be overthinking it.

I had the same exact issue with mine, all of the brackets were off and a bunch of the bolt holes didn’t line up. After thinking something was wrong and that I’d have to send these damn things back, I realized I was overthinking it way too hard.

Simply loosen bolts holding the bracket to the board itself a little so they can move, then thread all the bolts into the pre-threaded holes underneath the truck, realign the brackets and tighten them once the running board is loosely bolted underneath and then tighten everything up.

It’s really that simple.

Don’t remember mine being angled but I could be mistaken
