First truck, so I’m a noob when it comes to truck wheels and tires. Most of my experience in this field was installing coilovers, sway bars, and adjustable endlinks on (and lowering) my 2003 Mazdaspeed Protege, hah.
I hate the chrome accent on the TRD Sport rims. I want to get the factory TRD Pro rims for my Sport. I think I found the part number after searching another thread. They’re 18” rims and should fit fine. I will not be doing any suspension or lift mods.
PT946-35240-2F - TRD Pro 18” rims
PT998-89210-F2 - Centercap (can I reuse the Sport rims centercap?)
My main question, aside from confirming the part numbers, is about tires. What type of tires come stock with the Pro? I’m guessing it’s A/T tires, whereas the Sport likely has street tires? I think those rims would look off with street tires, but I want to maintain as much MPG as possible while still rocking A/T tires (I live in New England, so I think they could help in winter, too). What size tire should I be looking at with those rims on stock suspension? I know the Pro has a slight factory lift, and I’m not sure if that impacts tire size for the Sport.
