So my lovely wife has ordered me a sweet new grill for my TRD Off Road (non-premium). I am excited to attack the project but want to maximize the opportunity once I have the front of my truck torn down. I’ll be wiring up the raptor lights and included light bar as part of the change, what else should I consider? Fang Lights? Front Camera? Anything else?

I’m not looking to maximize any specific practicality, just have some fun with my truck.

Thx for any advice or opinions you may have to offer.

I'd 100% do the fang lights. I initially bought a pair but never installed them once I learned they didn't have the amber option (can't return them now either).
I ended up going with the LTX from Tacoma Lifestyle and love them. I have them set to amber and its the perfect combo.

Excellent, looking at their LTX series, plug and play. I can easily justify as a safety enhancement that happens to look bad ass.
Yup. That’s what I have. I just added a photo to my post above.

(made a typo. I have the LTX)

Fog lights. Either switchable or just brighter ones.

Are you talking about replacing the existing? Are they inadequate or just less than perfect? Or, are you referring to adding an additional fog lights?

There are brighter units you can get in white or opt to get amber color. There are also switchable units that are able to do both colors.

I had the same thought as you. I ordered the headlights and taillights from Alpharex, aftermarket grill with light bar and some cheap aftermarket amber fog lights. My thought was remove the front bumper and install everything at once. Came to find out I didn’t like the cheap fogs as the bracket didn’t sit perfectly and looked horrible aesthetically.
I ended up ordering the Alpharex fog lights that you can switch from white and amber LED’s so I ended up removing the front number a few times.

Personally, I liked the fang lights but after seeing it other people’s truck I passed on it. It was too much for my taste. Too cluttered or busy for me. I prefer a clean look.

That is a solid looking set up. Did you go in to this with a front camera, add, or is it a blank?

Yes I have a front camera. My grill came with the camera hole although I needed to clip the cover off and camera bracket. Beware that some aftermarket grills don’t come with a new bracket and you might need to order it separately. Also some brackets will require you to re calibrate the camera. You can search on here on how to. Mine didn’t require calibrating it again.

You can save yourself some future frustration by throwing those raptor lights in the garbage and installing better ones in their place. That grille is a great deal and the little light bar is excellent for what it is. But, the raptor lights make it maybe a month or two before they start flickering. I'd avoid installing fang lights for that same reason.

I agree with Ian. I try not to follow the masses with those Raptor lights. I’ll be honest, I originally wanted to add Raptor lights also but the more I thought about, everyone was doing it same with the heritage Toyota words on the grill. It just seems like Im being a poser. Also imagine all the ford f150 real raptor guys looking at your truck and thinking why are they trying to be like us. So that is why I went with a simple clean grill with a light bar without the Raptor lights.
