You can see in the video, it sounds like a kids wooden train whistle. My 2024 OR has been on the road for almost 11 months, and about 11,000 miles. With the last two services I asked them to check the whistle noise. This occurs about 7 to 8 minutes after shutdown. Sometimes a second whistle occurs 5 minutes after. They are thinking some kind a fuel pressure valve is partially obstructed. However, no answers yet. Its had 4 visits for this, fuel economy, and the computer going off (black/grey screen) or dropping CarPlay or the source radio station.
I have questioned if it could be related to my average 12MPG mileage. It was 15 before the tires were upgraded.
My question for you guys is if anyone has a similar whistle after shutting down? If so, do you have lower than advertised gas mileage?

Mine does this every time, I'm assuming it's fuel system related. It also has over 15k miles.
My MPGs are showing 19.8mpg.
I don't have an answer for you but providing a data point.

Mine does the same thing! I was walking by my truck the first time I heard it. No idea what it is

It is the electronic parking brake readjusting. If you turn off the parking brake auto engagement by holding down the parking brake button for 5 seconds, it will show it deactivated and will only be activated from then on out by you pulling up on the button and activating it when you actually want it on. You can also have it activate automatically by holding up on the switch for 5 seconds, which will then make it engage any time you place the truck in park, just like it came from the factory, but you are for sure hearing the parking brake 100%. If you don’t believe me, stop the truck, open the door, and place it in park and engage the parking brake.

I have always wondered what that sound was. I have always had it since day one. I am at 8.5K miles right now. Figured it was normal, just sounded weird the first time I heard it.

Informative, but I couldn't resist...
