Interesting, I'm not a huge audiophile, but a plug-and-play kit is tempting, especially at that price. Thanks for posting.
Does anyone have any experience installing speakers like this in our trucks without any aftermarket amplification?
I want to pull the trigger, but I also know that in the past, door speakers without an amp leave a lot to be desired.
I do have the BeatSonic ENA 3T3 with an aftermarket powered subwoofer.

80W RMS speakers. Highly doubt the stock JBL amp is producing anywhere near that output. So you may notice some improvement over the JBL, but it wouldn't be anywhere near the potential without an amp upgrade as well.

Was just going to say. Upgrading the speaker is y going make much improvement. You’re going to upgrade your amp for noticeable gains.
Speaker install or not, it's a good video on how-to door panel removal. Might as well throw some noise reducing insulation on those panels when you got the plastic off to help reduce road noise further.
