Brushed vs. Brushless
Brushed motors are the proven, traditional design. They have been a part of our lineup and trusted on trails for years. They do generate more heat under sustained use, which is why they are built with hard-anodized cylinder bores and Teflon-impregnated carbon fiber piston seals to hold up under extended operation.
The newest brushless motors eliminate the internal friction that generates heat in a brushed design. The result is a more efficient motor that runs cooler, lasts longer, and delivers more output from the same power draw. The brushless lineup adds Electronic Speed Control that keeps output consistent as temperatures climb, and Smart Start technology that works with smaller charging systems.
Single vs. Twin
Twin motor compressors move more air and fill tires faster. The difference is noticeable mainly on larger tires or when you're airing up multiple vehicles.
