HEADS UP display - how do you like yours?

Mine seems to reset after I've remote started the truck thru the app.

As far as the other custom settings on the gauges, it seems the TPMS is the only one that doesn't stick - all the others stay put. But the TPMS always ends up flipping back to trip/odo

From direct testing, it flips to whatever the allowed previous gauge is. If you disable everything except TPMS on the side, it will be blank instead on restart.

Call me crazy, but one of the reasons I specifically chose the Tacoma over other trucks is for the HUD. I've had HUDs in my Corvettes for over 20 years and don't like it when it's not there. Even my Hyundai has a HUD. Even more baffling that they dropped it on some '25 trims.

I have never had an issue with my HUD nor my TPMS.

@james cole Mine stays where I left it and has for 11 months, but I have heard other complaints about it moving. Have you checked with your dealer about what is going on?

Yes. It is random for me. Maybe every 10-15 starts. Only moves down, never up. Haven't addressed it with the dealer because its not reproducible at will. I believe I read on the forum that somebody thought it was related to remote starting. I haven't tested that theory however.

Has anyone had issues getting their HUD display position/brightness staying where you set it? I've raised mine up several times, and after multiple trips - it seems to reset itself back down to the lowest setting and I have to reset it again. Same with some of the customized gauge displays (i.e.: tire pressure, etc). I even showed the service advisor at my dealership last time I took it in, and he basically shrugged his shoulders. It's starting to actually piss me off.

Sorry late to the game. Mine does the opposite- resets to the highest position, and I have to move it down. No rhyme or reason as to when it happens, but it is frequent, at least every third day.

Likewise. No obvious pattern. I do not use remote start, so not a factor. But every so often I get in and it's back to being as high as possible and I have to bump it back downward.

This is my first vehicle with one, so unsure of how limited/customizable this one is but, I love it while commuting in the morning while it is still dark. However, I typically wear polarized sunglasses so it is next to invisible during the day. Overall though, I'm glad my truck has it.

As TacoSupreme85 said wearing polarized sunglasses makes it invisible so don’t real use it unless dark but happy it’s there when not wearing sunglasses

I second this. 2025 Limited. I love the HUD. Wife has it in her BMW X5 diesel and I was jelly…now I’m not.
