I am interested on opinions on using 5w-30 , instead of the 0w-20 in a 2024 Tacoma. I usually always try and stay to OEM parts and specs. However, from some things I’ve seen the 0w-20 may not help with longevity as much as it does emissions.

You are beating another dead horse. A quick browse of https://www.tacoma4g.com/forum/foru...reak-in-oils-fluids-consumables-servicing.40/. This subject has been extensively discussed, and everybody disagrees. So, make your own decision. Run what you want.

Oh, and don't forget to look at the discussions on oil filters and oil change intervals. Again, nobody agrees.
