Has anyone encountered that their 14 in display goes dark sometimes when the cameras are coming on driving slow or in reverse or out of reverse to very slow drive when the cameras are normally on? I put it back in park and the display came back on. Cut the truck off and the everything went back to normal. Today was a second time this week. It has to be software related. This is not the issue already out there about the cluster panel TSB

Screen blanked out once in first 5000 miles during shifting between reverse and drive needed for low speed parking maneuvering into garage.

Sceen back after a restart.

Yes mine actually did it for the first time last week, started the truck and instead of going to carplay or the default screen it was just black until i tried to switch stations withe the steering wheel controls.

It's happened to me 4 or 5 times in 14 months.
It's a SAFETY RECALL 25TA08.
Thats for the 12" MID not the 14" screen(radio)

Has happened to me three times in a year and a half of ownership. Shut the truck off started it again and everything’s back to normal. Annoying yes but a real big problem -no.I brought it to the attention of the dealership. They’re looking into the probability of a software issue. This is not the same as the12.3 inch screen problem in the recall.

I have had that happen, but just a couple of times. There is no fix at this point, and there may never be one since Toyota doesn't even have fixes for some of the recalls at this point.

I'm relieved that I did not have an issue with this while using MTS software out in the wild because I needed the cameras while rock climbing in Colorado and Utah. I have noticed that keeping the camera lenses clean is a must, but this is something that cannot be helped sometimes out in the dirt and mud. You know, something the truck was made to do.
