Stock ‘24 Sport with tri-fold tonneau cover getting 19.5 mpg on 95% city driving with just over 2,600 miles. I’m using normal mode all the time and usually keep my foot out of the turbo.

I am really hoping for an improvement in MPGs as my mileage increases but for now, it is less than what I expect. I have a 6ft bed with the factory cover and stock 17" wheels. I'm playing with lowering the tire pressure from 40PSI to 35PSI cold. Crazy that the truck was delivered with such a high PSI off the transport.

I do find this stat interesting:

That chart is very interesting.

Summer I was getting 21-23, 60/40 hiway/city
Now 16-18 with 285’s SL, sliders, rival skids, JRI shocks total added weight about 200lbs? Elevation 2800ft with weekly trips to 7000ft. Temps have been well below zero for the last week right now I’m at 16mpg due to lots of idling, and pushing snow around.

What is everyone getting mpg in the new Tacomas? Curious as to miles on truck, mods, tires and type of driving. I'm getting 17mpg with a factory 25' Pro no mods. 60% highway 40% under 50 mph county roads. The truck has 1100 miles on it now.
This is annoying, I have a stock 2025 Pro w/636 miles and I have been stuck on 16.5mpg. I keep it in ECO and keep the RPMs as low as possible. The first few hundred were all highway and no better. My 3rd gen with duratrac tires did significantly better and I drove it harder. I’m really annoyed by thisz

I drive in normal and dont baby it. I drive it like any other vehicle that I own. Its getting 19.5ish by the dash math with adding weight of a retrax tonneau cover, caki raised steps and going 1 size bigger and wider goodyear tires. I also keep at least 90lbs of stuff plus myself at 200 lbs at a minimum.

Early August 2025 now. Mileage is 8,500+. MPG generally 21 - 22 for the tank. Mostly city driving. Will be interesting to see how low it goes once we get back into winter.

When real cold weather hits (-20) expect 15ish!

I was going to get a 4x4 but since the only "off roading" I do is some dirt roads I opted for the 2WD. That 4x4 drive train must be hell on gas mileage. My usual driving is half city (AZ city not NY city) and half on a 60 mph highway. My average is 27+ mpg combined. When I fill up my DTE reads 400.

Easy 26.4MPG on a 4x4 SR crew cab with TRD OR wheels. I did get 1 MPG better with the SR5 wheels probably mostly due to the easier rolling resistance of the HTs.

No air dam or roof accessories, full aluminum CBI skidplates, some lights on the bumper, not a heavy setup.

21.9 for the last 7500 miles, mixed rural/interstate/city driving. Recent open highway trip got 25.6 on a fill.
