Havent had any issues with heat in my Taco. Its been very cold here in past several weeks with temps as low as -2F in the mornings and no problems at all with my heater. The heated seats and heated steering wheel is nice to have in these low temps.

i never use the heat, i found if i just leave it cold, i never have to scrape the windshield (if it's never warm, nothing can melt and freeze).

but, on the rare occasion i need to actually use the defrost, it sucks. takes forever and the upper portion of the driver side never clears. the passenger side seems much better. worst one i've had (had '15, '18, '21 and now '24).

Anybody else have an issue with the heat, my truck has 1800 miles and whenever I need to use the heat the thing takes forever to warm up. I have to actually drive it for 10-15 minutes for any hot air to come out, letting it warm up in the driveway doesn't do much, and I've got cold air blasting at me while its 30, 20, 10 degrees out. Anyone else have this issue? For reference I've owned over 40 cars and never experienced this before - it goes way beyond letting it warm up in the driveway for 10-20 minutes before driving it just is blowing cold air until i've been actually driving it for a bit.

I haven't had the pleasure of experiencing single-digit temps here in TX-the lowest we've gone down to was about 24`F. That said, I have zero complaints about the heater in my truck. It warms up nicely within 10-15 mins, and the heated seats and steering wheel are a big bonus.

2025 sport here, 5000 miles. Heat is very slow to appear, especially at -5 to -15°F. After driving 20 minutes after a 10 minute warm up heat arrives but still takes a bit to get the interior warm. No where near as good as my 2018 tundra sport the tacoma replaced.

My 2025 Tacoma TRD Sport works great, it can be too hot after about 15 minutes. I end up setting it to 68, with very little fan. My prior was a 2012 FJ, it took a while to warm, especially the foot box.
West TN, it’s been 32 or less for over a week. 4HI on ice and snow has worked well also.

It works okay but it isn’t a Jeep Wrangler. The Jeep will heat your ass right out of the cab!

My heat gets hot AF. I had it at 67 on the way home the other night and had to open the windows and turn it off. I live in Florida but it was 38 degrees outside. It seems to get hot very fast too. Something doesn’t sound right with yours

Another thing to consider …if you’re starting your truck with Toyota app…make sure you have the defrost setting off. I thought my AC/Heater wasn’t working. Turned out defrost was coming on every time I remote started the truck with the app.

OP- you could try using the block heater with a timer on it to come on about 2 hours before planned starts. Taking a while to warm up is a sign of an efficient cooling system which, IMO, is good.

Minus 16 this morning in Vermont and mine was pouring out hot air before I got 2 miles from the house.
