ARB Rear Recovery Points + OE Bed Step + SXTH Relo Bracket = doesn’t work

I mean… this should be super easy. Removed the OE bed step, replaced the bed-step mount with the SXTH mount, used the ARB bolts, mounted it up and it just doesn’t fit. The SXTH mount positions the step too close to the recovery point such that it doesn’t retract fully. See pics.

What am I missing… or, did I get a mis-aligned/welded bracket?

Oem bed step? Curious as I have the cheaper Amazon version. I also have the arb recovery points and adapter en route as we speak. Hoping they all work together!
