I was in for service and got the brake line recall on my '24 Tacoma. I took a photo before, and after. I really can't see a difference. Maybe the soft line is an inch longer in the after photo. Can you see it?

This is my truck vs my friend’s 2025. Both trucks are on 18’s.

I don't see it, I guess I am just old. :)
How long did it take? My local stealership said 4-6 hours and don't offer a loaner.

I believe the recall applied to trucks with 17 inch rims (not 100% confident on that though). So if my truck came with 18's....and never got a recall notice...but I put 17's on...do I need to modify the rear brake hoses??

You’re lucky. I don’t want the dealer touching my truck anymore especially for something as stupid as this but since I live in the s state of California Im going to be prevented from completing my registration renewal unless I get the recalls taken care of.

Wow, I never got a recall on my truck with 18" wheels either, so I consider myself lucky.

I try my best to not let the dealer's idiots break my truck, so I have only had the trailer blindspot monitor recall done. I really should follow up on the other recalls but I hate to let them touch my truck.

I think I have 3 or 4 outstanding, including this that I really don't want to have done because of the amount of incompetence I've seen posted around here.

Same here, I will go to any length to not have my truck go to a dealer or shop. I don't want those monkeys touching it, period. Because it always comes back messed with or messed up in some way. I can do any maintenance item I need to, myself.

I do have that recall on mine, the trailer blindspot. How long did they have your truck? Just a quick programming is all, i assume? I don't plan on ever towing with this truck so probably will never have that recall done.

@MustardTiger it was pretty quick, less than an hour total for that service. They even managed to plug my cooling fan back in. I don't really need that either but when you want to sell outstanding recalls can be a problem.

I would think the replacement one would be shorter, not longer since that is the problem. My local shop had a bunch of them to do so the shop foreman had one guy do them, and he was able to get a set done in like 20min.
Fun fact, my local dealership shop foreman is the one that caused that recall. One of the first 2024's sold here in Anchorage had driven to Deadhorse with it in the winter and by the time he returned he lost brakes rear brakes because of all the mud and ice and slush that had built up inside the wheel had rubbed holes in the hoses.
