Has anyone had any issues going through carwash with 4th gen? Just picked up my 2025 and have a membership to a local carwash but my prior truck didn't have a sunroof. It has one set of overhead extremely high-pressure water jets that makes me a little nervous.

You should be good. I have a carwash membership too. I have the "touch free" option, so I get high pressure water instead of those brushes. Zero issue. Even my OEM tonneau cover is holding up pretty well despite the pressure from washing.

Over 20 years with Toyotas with sunroofs. As long as it's closed never once had an issue or so much as a drip inside. It's as sealed as your doors when closed.

Wash weekly via my own subscription, and no issues. As others have said, “as long as it’s closed, you should be good”!

Enjoy the clean truck!

I've no problems going through the car wash with mine. I probably go through about twice a week.

I've washed my '24 Limited a lot since I got it in November, and it's been wet and muddy most of the spring, no issues at all. Tonneau leaks a little, but the sunroof is dry.

Wow, OK thanks everyone for the positive feedback. I won't worry about that anymore.

If the 4th gen is like the 3rd and other models, there's a drip tray under the edges of the sunroof and drains at the front. Any bit of water that comes past the sunroof should drain.

Be sure to add checking the sunroof drains to your periodic maintenance - once a year or so open the sunroof and pour some water into each drain - it should flow freely down and out behind the front wheel. If it doesn't, fish some weedwhacker line through to clear the tubing.

This is great advice. I have a co-worker with a 3rd Gen where these drains failed . Thank you, I'll look into this.

Great advice. Have had a RAV4 and a GS300 where those got clogged. Definitely on my list for any car with a sunroof. Happy I don’t have one on the Tacoma if I’m being honest even though they are really nice to have. But yeah, solid advice here.
