I de-badge my truck. Since I saw a few questions on de-badging here I thought I'd make a video. I'm not a content creator but thought I'd share.
That looks great!! I didn't realize that I-Force Max was only held on with glue? I thought there were two screws that held it on?

Nice work!!

I donā€˜t like the look of that badge. I think it’s super tacky. It’s so much worse on the Tundra. Glad that it can be easily removed for those who share my opinion on it.

Nice video, you did a good job making the work less scary for people who might want to remove their badges.
I removed mine last weekend and found the badges easier than the bedside stickers.
Those required more chemicals to get off, but the result is worth it.
Fishing line is also a good alternative to dental floss, and you can use a rubber wheel if you have old and stubborn adhesive.

Great video thank you for posting. I have never been a fan of a total debadging, but to each his own. I do always remove the dealership decal which I find obnoxious that they are put on in the first place. Regarding the Limited, I fully agree that the hood iMax badges are a bit much and need to come off. Likewise not a fan of all the chrome and would consider blacking out instead of a total debadge. You have a beautiful truck, good for you to make it yours!

I did debate the i-Force Max on the tailgate and the Limited door badge as they seemed a bit more unique. In the end, I just prefer the cleaner look or a more custom look.
I'm with you on the Chrome though, even though the black-out look has been the norm for 20 years, I'm not sure why Toyota still does the Chrome treatment on the Limited.
It has grown on me a little though. Maybe I go the opposite direction and get chrome springs, flares, rails, mud flaps, and a chrome rear bumper. :cwl:

LOL, yup total chrome and some kind of sparkle paint that is green when you look from the front and purple when you look from the rear  ! I really do like the Limited, just not available when I got mine in October. In a perfect world I would love to combine some of the TRD Sport features with Limited features. Either way, I'm sure you will enjoy your truck as much as I enjoy mine. Best of luck with it!

Correction; It'll look like an SR5 with Chrome :cwl:

Well I guess it looks more like an SR, it's the only one that comes stock with no badges. Of course, you can't get this color in either the SR or SR5. So I guess it'll look like an SR5 to someone who wouldn't care either way.

I took my bed side TRD Offroad sticker off too. It looks cleaner and no more feeling like it was installed wrong depending on what angle I walk up. I guess some will think I have a debadged SR5 but that’s perfectly fine with me.

I hate the trend of giant stickers on pickup trucks. The colors never match up after a couple years. The Limited doesn’t come with one. But I’ve taken them off my last two trucks.
IMO, if it isn’t a custom vinyl, take it off.

I think most Tacoma fans, and ppl on this forum could identify the major differences between models without the badges. To anyone else it doesn’t even matter.
It’s more important that we like what we see, than what others think.
