Gas cap doesn't click

Happen to anyone else?

Less than 2k miles, no more click. No engine lights.

Unless a code get thrown, I'll probably wait until my 1st dealer revisit...

Worth trying to get a new OEM gas cap?

mine barely makes a ratcheting click, maybe for about 3/8 of an inch, then it just gets springy & stops.
Not sure why you feel you need to pay out of pocket for a gas cap, if it truly is messed up....
Use your big W....

Yeah, it bottoms out firm, but no ratchet sounds. I'll wait on it....

Our 5th gen 4R clicks with authority, and the T4G manual says it should click upon closure, so, meh... Plastics...

The clicking noise might depend on the caps internals. BUT, if you install a locking gas cap or an after market the vehicle will throw a code that needs to be cleared every time you start your vehicle. At least that was my experience.

I've had this happen, and it began clicking as normal the next time I went to fill up.
Thinking it might be worth having a spare on hand.
