Hybrid speaker / flying saucer noise delete kit installed

I found this really nice plug and Play kit with a high quality OEM plug and hard plastic overmolded resistor.

You could DIY for cheap, but I didn't want to splice any wires

No more annoying Jetsons noise.

If you have the air dam removed you can slide your hand up between the skid plate and the front bumper and reach the plug.

If you unplug it without attaching a resistor the truck will throw a check engine light

I just installed the resistor on the front speaker and it works as advertised. Thanks @turnermier for sharing.

I did notice one peculiar change too. My beeper/alert when locking the doors, no longer works anymore. I have a suspicion that same speaker handled the door alerts as well

Same here. Installed mine and the door lock beep is gone. Also, Reverse still makes the hybrid noise but I believe that's coming from a separate speaker.

Good to know it's not just me. My rear has a speaker too, behind the rear steel ARB bumper, offset from the midline to the right a bit. I might try putting duct tape over that speaker, to at least mute it.

Eventually, I'm gonna try connecting a relay switch to one of the Aux ports so Can activate it on or off. I asked my Ai to put together instructions/diagram and it seems like an easy ish install.

i'm going to check with the company to see if they can make one for the rear and maybe combine the two in a kit.

I didn't know there was a second speaker in the back, I taped the front one and did helped a lot lol. I don't think I want to miss the locking noise

yes, there is a speaker located near the rear most cross member and frame rail on the passenger side.

Found the second speaker and contacted MegaOhm. They’ll be making a kit for future Taco Owners who want to take care of the sound front and rear.
Losing the lock sound is acceptable to me because it also means I lose the rapid beep telling me to check the rear seat. I still get the flashing lights and phone notification.

FYI, you can turn the rear seat reminder warning/beeps off in the menu on the instrument cluster.
