Yep. This 100%.

If this was for, say, medical expenses for someone we know on the forum? Cool.

But a church trip that's completely optional, and that you can pay for yourself? No way.
This! Grifters wanting a free ride because they are "righteous" is a tale as old as time.

I completely agree with you and everyone else looking at my truck. I will say since I have learned of the mission trip to Mendoza Argentina, I have not spent. another dime on the truck.
I just purchased airfare tickets today and the cost has gone up since the planning of the trip.
Cool story... no one cares.

I see a lot of parts on that truck that you could sell really quickly and have plenty of money for the flight. another option, swap people parts Plus cash. if I was in your area I would swap you wheels, buy your winch.

It's okay to solicit sales on this forum, and ask for help from other members, CORRECT.
The second I reach out to my community for help i received a variety of responses, motions of them were not kind ones and pointed out. This is not the place to ask for help.

Quite a community of people you are. I'm not saying all of you, but you know who you are. Whoever had my post pulled, I hope you're happy.I'll still find a way to serve.
Thank you for those that looked and considered while it was still up.
One must also understand....it's also okay to not provide the help you're soliciting.

What a maroon. My wife bought my truck. You shit in every thread about suspension like Kings are for everyone.
You're not wrong. He has to have the most Tacoma pictures on this forum.

Also he said it's okay to solicit sales on this fourm. Last time I checked asking for money and selling an item are two different thing.🤷‍♂️

At the end this ain't FB.

You're absolutely right. But I don't need to be hated on because I wish to help others and look to a group for help to do so.

Wow what a bunch of haters, all I got to say is that the Lord has a place for you and I'll pray for all your souls..
I see what kind of group this truly is, only the self centered kind that are interested in their own self interests. That's the problem with the world today. I'm glad I'm trying to do my part for a more civilized society.

No no no... you couldn't possible expect the OP to sacrifice any of his precious toys to pay for this trip. I mean, they even stated they haven't bought anything new for their truck lately. That's suffering enough. Can you imagine having to endure such hardship?

lol This person couldn't be any more unsympathetic if they tried.

If you were that interested in helping others so much then you should have bought a 94 Corolla and put that 80K in cash into this church thing. You didn't, so you haven't done all you can for this mission and you are expecting others to make up for the shortfall.
Go find your 1K at the church, or better yet, pray for it and perhaps it will fall out of the sky.

I'm not trying to add fuel to the fire here but I think there's a "both sides" discussion to be had here. I was raised with religion and had a mostly positive religion. I'm not actively practicing but I do understand the benefits that can (and can't) be had by using religion as a reasonable moral compass. That being said, I commend @Wife bought my 24 TRD for trying to help others out.

That being said, I also think it should be pointed out that asking for donations to do this mission (especially in wine country in Argentina) does ring hollow a bit when you are able to purchase 2 very high priced vehicles including some very pricey mods. I'm not saying he doesn't have the right to own these vehicles AND want to help people. I think the main point here is that there are other ways you can help people while also living within your means. I will say, I don't think any religious teaching would teach anyone to label others as "haters" and say "the lord has a place for you". Last I checked, that's not a very pious response.

No one in this forum should be chastised for spending what they do on their trucks. The truth is these trucks are very expensive and all the mods people do are RARELY needs. At the same time, no one should be chastised for pointing out the problem in having two of these expensive vehicles while also trying to garner sympathy when they can't afford an international mission trip (even though there is potentially well intended objectives).
