More to the story, drove over to the big city today to run an errand when I got home I checked Carista and lo and behold the codes are now gone, yippee!
Sometimes I guess ya gotta believe the dealer, (OH NO!! Did really just say that??)
But verify with Google/AI:

God, that is some scary shit. A dealer knowing something and telling us the truth. Go figure.

I had my instrument panel software updated yesterday in Alabama (where I bought the TH). The update was 100 minutes, they let me back in the work area while it was going. The update was from a laptop plugged into the ODB outlet and they hooked up a Toyota/Lexus battery generator to the 12v battery for continual charging. When finished they drove for 10 minutes but there was check engine light. They ran the engine for another 1/2 hour check engine light still on. There was NO code with the check engine light , just said a hybrid battery error (not failure). They concluded that it would take some driving to clear the light due to the software update. There should not be a problem for me to drive home (no code) and if needed, come back Saturday. They brought the truck around to the front and parked it, power switch off. I got in and powered up, no check engine light, engine alerts all clear. Seems Carista might be correct.

Shoot I had mine reflashed today, and now I can't change the gauge styles or settings unless I'm not moving :( They are greyed out. Then when I stop they become available. What a downgrade

Like you can't even scroll side to side to switch views?
If so, that will definitely discourage me from updating.

In my case, I can still with settings 1, 2 and 3 change and update some settings while driving specifically moving. Some things deep in the software are grayed out.
