SXTH Element Cold Air Intake dyno results?

I have been looking into this, but I have not seen any Dyno results with it installed. Has anyone seen any information yet?

The intake made a big difference for my 24 non hybrid before I did anything else. It made an even bigger difference for the truck after I had OTT tune it. I know because I put the stock intake back in it and it felt like the truck was falling on it's face when I stuffed my foot in it. After that short drive I put the Sixth element intake back in. I run a pre filter on mine for added protection.

I did a lot of product testing for them and did some before and after dyno results on the stock mapping and on some custom tuning. The gains with the intake alone were pretty good and with a tune it really woke it up. Orange-stock, green, with SXTH intake on stock tune (Stock mapping is ).

Can someone help me understand these discrepancies in the stock dynoruns? is Banks running an SR tacoma (228hp/243lb-ft rated)?

#1- dyno charts posted are always at the wheel, and there are parasitic drivetrain losses
#2- Dynos read differently. I’ve recently dynoed a stock Tacoma that made 165whp, but it was a different dyno maker. Dynojets are consistent from dyno to dyno and have a built in weather station.
#3- I prefer to use a dyno as a tool to measure gains, rather than to report a peak number.

@Cabby30 as @CAMTuning explained, Toyota rates the stock horsepower at the crank/flywheel using an engine dyno cell. In other words, the engine is on a test stand, not in a truck.

Our posted tests were performed on a Mustang in-ground chassis dyno. It is calibrated annually to align with OE dynos. For example, we are within 2 hp of GM and Cummins dynos.

Standard practice is to take the average of three runs. And, our data is uncorrected. In other words, what we measure, is what we post. We do not correct for altitude, etc as we have the luxury of being at sea level under near perfect ambient conditions.

While we can post higher numbers like some of our competitors, we prefer to post conservative gains so that anyone with a dyno will find the same or greater results.

The quickest way for an aftermarket parts company to commit internet suicide is to make bogus or unrepeatable claims.
