It's not the best option, but a $35 sceptre 20L tank from Canadian Tire mounted to the bed rails is hard to beat if you truly need the range. Don't think they sell them in the USA, but they are a damn fine gas can if you can find them. That's another 90 miles of range per can. Simple, easy, and cheap.

Scepter 4WD Vented Gas Can, 20-L | Canadian Tire

$37 now. I paid $35 last month. Crazy.

I think that is available in the US, but it won't come with that spout. I would love to buy the Scepter heavy duty military version Jerry can, but they are only available to military or government personnel in the US. We are stuck with gas cans that come with CARB compliant spouts which don't work, and are one of the world's worst inventions to solve a problem that didn't exist.

For anyone interested, the Rotapax water can nozzle looks just like the one on the Canadian Scepter. It is available on Amazon, but does not come with Rotopax gas cans. It works on Midwest metal Jerry can so my guess is that it would work on the Scepter.

@mtbocoee Totally agree about those nasty spouts. It makes you wonder if the designers ever tired to actually use the damn things. I have spilled more gasoline using them than I ever did in the many years I have used normal spouts. Another example of government design by committee to protect the stupid from themselves.
