I'm messing about with my jack, and the rear jack points built into the bumper are fine, but I tried jacking one of the rock rails, and it definitely flexes quite a bit towards the body as the suspension is unloaded. I stopped before I lifted a tire, and the flex recovered. I'm dubious these rails are gonna support the weight of the truck on a rock. Anyone actually used these yet?

Most all aftermarket sliders will flex to some degree.. you will not notice the flex as much because they are made to stay away from the body like the factory ones do and the more they stick out from the frame the more they will flex.. you noticed the trailhunter bars flex because they are so close to the trucks body. I removed the sliders off my trailhunter because I couldn’t use them how I wanted to. Steps to get in and to access the roof better. Toyota made them really strong but not the design I wanted

I’ve experimented with lifting both front and rear (individually) without any problem.

Note: I installed Trail Hunter rock rails on my Off Road

If the TH has the same OEM rails as my Pro, they are not true rock sliders. My Pro’s are attached to the body, not the frame. I replaced mine with true rock sliders that bolt directly to the frame. Do not jack on non-sliders!

I installed the TH rock sliders on my OR as well. There was a small "caution" card that came in the box that described where to and where not to jack on the sliders. I can't seem to find it right now, but if I remember correctly, the jack had to be used at the slider mount points and was not to be placed at the ends closest to the tires.

I knew I saw a similar card. I was jacking between the mounting ribs to the frame, and it still deflected quite a bit towards the pinch welds on the bottom of the rocker panels. They didn't touch, but I was too chicken to keep lifting until they did- Maybe they won't and my anguish is misplaced. Part of it might be the trailhunters are quite a bit heavier than the ORs.

Yea these are my first rock sliders- I never put them on my 2004. I thought the same with mine- a little too close to step on easily.
