This sighting and photo were just taken, thanks to a forum lurker. Thank you and great spot Alan W.!
Has that been confirmed as thing? The '24 Tacoma page only calls out LWB for SR5 and TH, IIRC.I can’t wait to get some pictures of a TRD Off Road long boi![]()
Once again, no sliding rear window. I know people in past posts were saying that this is because they are preproduction models, but the more vehicles we see with this makes me scratch my head. Also, I can’t wait to get some pictures of a TRD Off Road long boi![]()
The th model in Hawaiian debut showcased an electric side slider. Not the whole window, but at least a squarish pass thru. I'm pretty sure tfl covered it.Once again, no sliding rear window. It simply isn't the premium trim. Needs the 33s and an ARB rear bumper though. Dig the sliders.Once again, no sliding rear window. If the Canadian trim info leaks are true, yes to long bed.Has that been confirmed as thing? The '24 Tacoma page only calls out LWB for SR5 and TH, IIRC.
That was my favorite feature on my 17'. Electric sliding window FTWOnce again, no sliding rear window. At least for the Canadian market, the gas model OR is available with a 6' bed, but only with manual trans and no options. Not sure what the hybrid packages will be.Has that been confirmed as thing? The '24 Tacoma page only calls out LWB for SR5 and TH, IIRC.
Is a sliding rear window really that important? Yes, I get it to some degree, I grew up when they were important--because there were no extended cabs, kids and dogs rode in the bed, and you wanted to talk sometimes without leaning out over the edge while driving down the road. Also helped if you had a camper, with people riding in the back. Furthermore you could easily reach it. Not sure I care if there is a sliding rear window or not nowadays.Once again, no sliding rear window. I've had trucks all my life, not one with an electric rear window. No big deal to me I have a cap on mine anyway for my dogs. I've got a slider now never use it. My cap has a slider too. Too much noise in the cabin for me. To each his own.Is a sliding rear window really that important? I don't need one, but it can be nice for airflow when driving with the windows down or the sunroof open, if you have one. Not something I need or would seek out, but I might use it if I had it.Is a sliding rear window really that important? Yea they’re niche features for a certain cohort now, the rear slider no longer as cool as a full midgate pass through that some manufacturers are doing like on the Silverado EV. I think it’s an awesome option for wintertime storm chasing across the country, allows you to stealth camp, access the bed w/a DECKED system, for something like the Trailhunter if Toyota can power the iForce battery back in generator mode, you could theoretically heat the truck bed/back camper shell. Allows you to pull into a rest stop/truck stop and rest without popping the RTT (or if it’s a blizzard outside). Even a full rear window slide down would be sick on the top trims. But yea, the situations to maximize the rear window/pass through are pretty limited, wouldn’t be be used enough to square the add-on costIs a sliding rear window really that important? It’s confirmed. TRDOR will come in a 5 or 6ft bed, but the 6ft will only be available with the automatic trans.Has that been confirmed as thing? The '24 Tacoma page only calls out LWB for SR5 and TH, IIRC.
