Little over a year, ~11.6k miles.
Coming from a 2500 diesel, this thing has been way more enjoyable as a daily. Super comfortable on the highway and just more fun overall. I know people argue about the turbo, but honestly I think Toyota nailed it. It suits how I drive way better than the old setup- and I knew when I bought it I'd be modifying it.
Biggest unexpected win has been the community — met a lot of really good people through the Tacoma/4Runner crowd this year.
Only real complaints? Fuel range could be better… and no chance I’m paying for the Toyota app now that mine expired

Now that the dust has settled and 4th gens have been on the road for a while, let's hear some feedback:

What do you love most about the new platform?
Alternatively, what do you hate?

Curious to read your replies!
My Tacoma TRD off road will be a year old on the 30th of this month.
I've had zero problems with it.
I've only done a few minor mods on it and I also de badged it.
So far I like it.

I like more room up front, but it was taken from the back seat. The paint job seems easier to chip than previous years. Accelerator has to be relearned. I wish the trailer hitch wasn’t integrated into the frame. Top speed governed at 107mph. I have no big complaints. I’ve owned an 2001, 2010, and 2016 before this 2024 SR5 4x4 Long Bed Double Cab. Another great Toyota!

Love the comfort, power, driveability. Hate that they want me to pay for Nav, no seat memory, poor JBL audio design. 2024 Limited.

Interesting. So the amp was draining the battery somehow? My battery went completely dead after a week in the garage. Dealership said that was totally normal nowadays. They checked the battery and sent me on my way. Makes me wonder…
The dealer just got mine, and it was dead when they tried to start it. Like, dead dead, 4 volts left. They put a new one in for me when I took delivery. Never had an issue since. Makes you wonder though.

Agree the back leg room & small gas tank aren't ideal, but the worst part is the "infotainment system" or stereo. Always cuts out from AirPlay sometimes in the middle of an important navigation. The update did little to fix this. Toyota's engineers suck at this. The other engineers deserve kudos. Love my Tacoma & wouldn't trade unless they create an option where the hybrid battery could switch between extending miles or boosting the engine as opposed to only the latter.

When I roll down the window, If it has rained or I've had a carwash in the previous two days, then the window will be wet when I roll it back up. Does this happen to anyone else? Or do I need to get it check out? I've never had a vehicle do this before.

On every car I've owned in 50 years. The wipers can take a day or two to dry out.

I’ve had my 2025 for a year. I love the appearance.

I hate the clunky 4WD system. Forty years of driving Toyotas, worst system I’ve ever experienced. My other Toyotas had manual transfer cases and of course now they are electronic systems.

On my Sport at least, Toyota decided to put plugs in the weep holes along the bottom of the door. Pulling one or more should let the water drain, and you can decide to put them back or not. Look for a black rubber rectangle.

I’ve had mine for almost two years and have 64k miles on it. I love it. The only thing I really don’t like is having to turn to auto start/stop off every time.

Everything looks good, except:
2nd row space too narrow.
Fuel tank capacity too small, only around 350mi range until empty, fuel gauge show around 290mi, need little bigger one for long distance trip.

Yeah, I tried pulling those out but it didn’t seem to help. It will still stay wet for about two days.
