Wind Noise - Whistle and Rattle

I had a similar rattle. It turned out to be the splash guards in the wheel well. The fasteners Toyota used are crap and have too much play in them. The rattling transfers right into the cab of the truck.

No. Noise is wind related and not related to my visor.

I have the exact same annoying sound from my drivers side. It's been there since day 1, prior to the front air dam removal. Watching this thread, hopeful the mystery is resolved. I tried pushing and pulling on parts of the door to see if I could isolate it unsuccessfully.

Haven’t noticed any whistling, but the wind noise is pretty severe. First time I got the truck up the highway speed. I was shocked at the wind noise.

OR owner - have this >70mph + crosswinds. My CX-5 does the exact same thing. Not worried about it. Annoying yes, but nothing I'm going to go sit at a dealer for to have them tell me it's normal or nothing they can do.

Dealer gave me a brand new 1794 edition while they resolve the issue. I'm at work seeing if anyone had luck with it. Seems to be a common noise and there is no way I can live with that. I Must me too far on the spectrum - Really sounds like plastic on plastic. ticking

I love that @Tony taped the whole truck looking for it. I support that. I was going to order a stethoscope on amazon and start listening.

The common catalyst for everyone is speed, so far on all forums it could be the following

mirror rattling - Possible

back seat latch - Unlikely because the sound is seems like its beside me not behind. and not wind activated

rubber flaps in wheel wells - I used tape with the fasteners and still have the noise.

window in run - regular glass in OFP vs Acoustic glass in top end models - Maybe more play same in the gasket and has excessive tolerances.

The plastic liner in under the hood beside fender - Possible

The carbon skid plate under protecting under pan flapping on metal.

While my truck was at a dealer, I asked them to look at it. All they did is bitch about how loud the aftermarket exhaust was, and because of that they couldn't determine anything.

The dealership thinks they have solved the riddle. Here it is .....
It was none of my guesses and nothing I had seen before on Tacoma4G or Tacomaworld
Makes sense with speed activation.

Has anyone noticed a slight whistle near the drivers side when you get close to 70 mph? I'm also getting a rattle on the passenger side. Both seem to be around the A pillar.

nope! No whistles or rattles

They removed both sides and taped with foam tape and reinstalled.
Looks like a perfect pocket to catch the wind like a parachute.
