The glossy black finish of Lexland tailgate cover creates a strong visual contrast with the “TACOMA” lettering on the tailgate, enhancing depth and presence at the rear while reinforcing the truck’s rugged, off-road character.

Material: durable ABS material with strong impact resistance
Equipped with a multi-segment LED light strip running along the top edge of the tailgate.

Stole the design from Ecoological just like the Meso Customs lights 🫢

One of your product photos even features their photo. Tsk tsk.

I want to know if the lights actually light up, and where do they plug-in, and when do they light up. I do not find installation instructions on the webpage for the lights.

I'd imagine the install is similar (if not the exact same) as the ecoological applique.

Honestly wouldn't surprise me if the lights are just wired in to 12v, or a AA battery pack 🤣

I think it's a cool idea, and I get that the Tacoma is often considered the Tundra's little brother, but why must "we" Taco owners feel the need to emulate the Tundra by adding multi-LED lights to our tailgate? The Tacoma already has its own unique identity and styling.

In my opinion, it looks great as it is, and there's no need to copy the Tundra's design language. The one thing I wish we could take from Tundra is the camo/carbon fiber look of the fender flares.

I don't care about the tailgate protector but where can I get the tailgate cap that doesn't have the little winglet on top? Did the 2026 Tacoma get rid of it?

The winglet protrusion makes it difficult/impossible to open the door on any topper you put on the truck without first opening the tailgate and has bugged me since day one. I came up with my own solution but, frankly, it sucks. I'd much rather replace the tailgate cap with one that doesn't have the lip.

The marker lights on the new "larger" Tundras are required by law due to their size, so they are in the front grill, on fender flares, and on the tailgate. I'm not thinking about looking like an adolescent Tundra or a Tacoma pavement princess. After all, I own a TRAILHUNTER.
I would use those lights while off grid camping when the tailgate is open to illuminate the ground along with my rock lights, ditch lights, chase lights, and Rigid lights in the rear bumper. If these lights are not programmable, I'm moving on elsewhere.

If I didn't have a softopper that covered that spot I'd probably consider it. Chase lights are a popular mod, as are auxiliary brake and tail lights in general. Diode dynamics hitch light sells like hot cakes. Those little strips under the tailgate are also vary popular. I see it as the same idea as all those just more seamless and integrated.
