PLANO, Texas (May 16, 2025) – Color can evoke strong emotions and can inspire our inner adventurer. A vehicle’s color makes a bold outward statement to the world about inner ambitions. The all-new color Wave Maker is exclusive to 2026 TRD Pro models and is a striking shade of blue that makes your rowdy intentions known to the world.

This TRD Pro color was developed by Toyota’s CALTY Design team and tells a unique story of artistic vision and the relentless pursuit of innovation.

“We had a few years of warm natural hues inspired by traditional landscapes like Terra and Mudbath as signature colors. With Wave Maker, we were inspired by unexplored areas of adventure including extreme territory and even beyond earth,” says Benjamin Jimenez, general manager at CALTY’s Ann Arbor location. “Wave Maker expresses an elemental spirit that evokes images of glacial depths and the thrill of new frontiers.”

Wave Maker is the eleventh iteration of the bold and unique TRD Pro colors. This great tradition started in 2015 with Inferno and was immediately a big hit; one worth repeating. Wave Maker will be available on 4Runner, Tacoma, Tundra and Sequoia. 2026 TRD Pro models are expected to start arriving at dealers in the fall of 2025.

It's not for me but I do like it! Cavalry blue will always be my favorite Toyota blue.

Noooo, i should have waited [I have Underground]! Gah, I like that blue a lot! I always wanted Voodoo Blue Tacoma Pro, but never was able to get one at the time. This color is sort of in between Voodoo and Cavalry

Was really hoping to see a green and/or Toyotas heritage blue land on the Tacoma like it did on the new 4Runner. Hoping there’s still a chance.

That is perhaps the worst color I have ever seen. I don't mean to be rude, or start a debate over something as subjective as color. But I really hate it. Just my opinion.

It's definitely a polarizing color. I doubt anyone will be neutral about it!

It's a pretty color but NO.

IF it was either Army Green or Lunar Rock, I might change my tune. But right now I love my Underground...it practically changes color with the lighting.

Yea this looks like its more of a color you either love or hate. I love it, as this is close to the Boost Blue on the Type R Civic I owned before it was stolen. Still won't buy it seeing those Isodynamic seats aren't an option.

it's no WR Blue but I like it! I might have gotten it instead of bronze oxide would I have been given the chance.

I am strongly not a fan of this blue. Seems like quite the attention seeking color. Also, it doesn't really seem to fit the TRD Pro name. TRD Pro is supposed to be the rugged off-road vehicle and this color gives off a delicate, cutesy vibe. Thats just my opinion... To each their own.

Whenever I see something in a color like this I say to my kids, "That's a good color for a jeep"

Interesting color, but doesn't seem to me to fit a Pro all that well. On the other hand that Pro does look good in Wave Maker, but not really bad ass like some other colors. I like how there is a steady rotation of special Pro colors.

I'm glad I have my Terra but I know a lot of people don't like it much either. Any color will have people who love it, hate it or just don't care.
