I reached out to Alldogs about these when they made a teaser post about having the 4G 5100s in stock. the perch sits higher on the 5100 so there should be a small amount of lift even at the bottom setting. length wise, the email states that there is less than a 1/4" difference in length between the 2 both front and rear.

Here's some photos i was sent.

Overall, these don't necessarily look like an upgrade over the factory red Bils unless you want to lift with your OE spring.

I believe these OR Bilsteins are similar to what certain trims of the Bronco come with. Seems very similar, if not the same shock.

I was at Overland Expo a few weeks ago. I talked with the Alldog folks about the 5100 shocks. I currently have their springs in front. They said don't bother. They really liked the red TRD-OR shocks.

That would be my assessment as well.

If you want a this is a great step up from lifting using pucks but not a huge upgrade. This is great for people who want a little lift but don't want to use those cheap pucks or spacers that really hurt the ride.

Even if you did the 5100s, added a dobinson spring (I just like dobinsons) and put it all under a dobinson's tophat or the icon top hat piece, you're at 1275 bucks. That's the same price as the low level eibach set.

It has it's place. add installation you're at about 1750 for most folks. If you can do it yourself, it's a great alternative to the 1 inch pucks and you still have to do the exact same amount of work for those.

I like them. I always suggest if you're new to off roading and lifts, this is a great starter. If you find an issue, then you step up to big kits. I find that for most this is totally suitable for your weekend trail rides and it adds some lift so you can look a little tougher on your 33s.

How do small 1-1.5” spacers “really hurt” the ride?
