The overland tent guy running errands on a Tuesday. Never understood leaving one of those giant eyesores on the truck roof all summer long.

As someone that goes camping frequently(most weekends in the summer), I would not be taking a roof top tent off every time I am done with it. I did that originally with my last truck and it is a massive pain. Its way too heavy to be trying to install/remove every weekend. Mine came off once in the fall to be stored for winter and goes on once in the spring and stays till the fall. Once I get a RTT and bed rack for the 4th gen I will be doing the same.

I get that there are mods you don't like, but people that shame other peoples mods are more cringe than bad mods. Thankfully this thread has at least stayed respectable because other places like FB and other forums are toxic.

I think the high majority of us feel that way, but this thread is also in good fun.

Oh totally it’s just this topic reminded me of the shame posts I see people post on IG and FB all the time. The difference being here people are respectful.
