Keep us updated if it settles any over time/miles. You’ve def inspired me to save up cash to burn on wheels&bilsteins.
I guess if I got chatGPT to change your picture to an underground paint, I’d have a good preview of what mine would look like 😂

Yea no worries! So far I'm really happy. For the price on an SR5 they just can't be beat. Suppose I could've taken the free TRD OR suspension and added a spacer, but don't love that people find that second stage dampening in the stock shocks unpleasant.

Was just bombing around some potholes and these felt so much better than stock SR5

I only drove it home on the road tonight, but yea, much better ride ! It's firmer, but just feels really good. Can't wait to get it off road! I'm glad the 265/70R18 doesn't look too small either.
If you do end up doing it I would be interested to hear what circlip setting you use and how much it brings the front of your truck up.

I'd be curious your thoughts on those shocks after the shocks break in a bit. Quite frankly I actually like the stock units on my OR, but I'm sure those 5100's are an upgrade to the OEM units. They'll settle and become less harsh. My concerns is highway driving impressions.

I'm no suspension expert, but have been around the block so to speak. My guess is that the ride might be improved a bit.

haha I haven’t really thought about the TH bronze wheels on underground but it actually looks decent - might consider those too. The blue/bronze is amazing though (vintage Subaru vibes). Those recent PNW foggy shots almost look pretty sweet.

It definitely feels better than stock initially! Will be interested to see how it feels long term as well. And if the front settles at all.

Just a hunch, but I bet it's going feel better than my last 3 trucks.

Thanks dude ! I dig the blue/bronze too.

And yea, the foggy shots sure do look sweet, until you are stuck with the crippling depression that 6 months of foggy shots brings 😂

Lol I dropped down from 275 to 265 in 18. I dig the look of a little room in the wells and like the MPGs. If I ever go 17s I might give a bigger tire a try! Certainly looks cool on other folks' rigs
If you ever decide to go back to 275/70R18s, the Nitto Terra Grapplers are available in SL and weigh barely any more than the stock 265/70R17 BFGs that come on an Off Road. That's as long as you do not need C or E rated tires. That is the route I am thinking of going for tires seeing everything in a 285/70R18 weighs soo damn much and the only off-roading I do is some dirt/mud trails when hunting or camping.

Truck looks great!
I have been considering these shocks for a while but my main issue, is what I am after may be hard to find. I like the feel of the stock suspension on pavement, but on rough dirt roads the suspension feels awful above 30mph. I have been trying to see what suspension upgrade will retain near similar on road ride quality but will dampen off road harshness to a level I will like.

Looks great, glad you nailed the ride height first try! Mine have settled a bit after almost 2k miles in height, with no noticeable difference in ride quality. What I do notice is that I can hit bumps that used to produce a harsh thud on the stock OR shocks at any speed and the 5100’s eat it. Massive upgrade over stock IMO

How much do you think your fronts settled total ? I was trying to decide if I want to throw a 1/2 inch spacer in the rear. I'm at perfect level right now. If front is gonna drop I guess I don't need to waste the time!
