Wouldn't stuffing some RFID cloth into the shark fin cover block all signals?
GPS and radio/music can be through your phone. Or if you're old like me, music through thumb drive.

Excellent write up by the original poster! I bought the harness from Auto harness house and I want to know is that harness garbage or not? Before I tear into my dash. Thanks for those keeping this thread on track.

Garbage? Like the AutoHarnessHouse harness? No, it works as advertised. It removes the power to the DCM so that you're not transmitting data while tricking the ECU into thinking you're out of cell range and not reporting any CELs.

You also don't have to tear into the dash. You remove the panel where the wireles charger/USB chargers are and remove the connectors from the DCM.
