I know there are dozens of posts about mpg and fuel tank size. This post is less of a complaint and just my experience. Downloaded Fuely app to record my “normal” daily driving just to work and back. I’m currently averaging 8.2 mpg. That’s mixed highway and city. That’s wild. I’m using 93 premium fuel. I love my truck. Fuel efficiency is probably the last of my cares but it’s definitely inconvenient having to fill up every 1.5 days. Again, not a complaint, just my experience.

How may miles a day are you driving having to fill up every 1-2 days? I mainly do all city/around town driving, basically all stop and go, and i'm getting 16.1mpg in my long bed Trailhunter.

I'm getting about 260 miles a tank roughly without doing exact math and just guessing off what the truck tells me. Filling up about every 9-10 days.

I'm getting roughly 17.8 mpg mixed driving on my commute. We took a trip from Kansas to Arkansas, and on the 65 mph back roads I was able to get 20 mpg. I have roughly 10k miles and it has improved since the beginning. I don't have a light foot either. Maybe its those bright red tow hooks?

Yikes! With my TRD sport and 33” tires, OTT tune, and SXTH Element CAI, I get about 19-20 mpg in the city and ~22 on the highway (at 65-75mph). I never fill up all the way down at E but easily get near 300 miles before I do (usually about 1/4 remaining on the gauge).

Wondering do we all drive that differently??

8.2 MPG is shocking. You must be getting around 100 miles on a tank?

I am getting an average around 22 MPG. I am getting around 320 miles per tank.

8mpg is wild. Are you just flooring it light to light and going 90+mph on the highway? Do you have 600lbs of concrete in your bed and a sail connected to your roof rack?

If I'm driving like a hooligan I can get it down to 10-14mpg but that's gunning it down dirt roads and spinning the tires as much as I can get away with.

Normal city/highway driving I'm sitting around 17-19. But that's driving no faster than 70-75mph on the highway and driving like a granny around town.

The mpg numbers people are posting sound crazy. I just picked up a 2025 4WD SR5. Combined driving (3/4 highway) I am getting 26mpg.

Hybrid 4th gens don't get close to the EPA mileage, but 8.2 mpg is nowhere near normal.

I see as low as 15 on a short urban drive with a cold engine and as high as 19-20 at moderate freeway speeds. If your TH stays at 8 mpg it is time to visit your dealer, because something is wrong.

My 2024 TRD Pro has about 7,500 miles on it. Here in NE Pennsylvania I was getting about 16 MPG during cold weather. Now getting 21-22 MPG in warmer weather. All local driving.
In the warmer weather I notice that the electric motor is activated much more.

That’s crazy low fuel mileage. A full size 450HP V6 Ford Raptor easily gets 15 mpg.

With aftermarket 8.5” X 17” Method wheels and 275/70/17 tires my TRD OR is getting 18mpg.

Something is wrong with your truck. Bad injector, cylinder or something.

Are you towing a loaded trailer behind you every day during your commute? That seems awfully low even if its all city driving.
